Current MOU agreements exist for the following GHE Opportunity Sites:
1. Peru (San Antonio Abad National University of Cusco; Reach, Teach, Heal; and Friends of CerviCusco)
2. Guatemala (Universidad Francisco Marroquin)
3. Brazil (Universidade Federal Do Espirito Santo)
4. Vietnam (University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh City)
5. Chile (Universidad de Valparaiso)
6. India (Indian Institute of Technology Madras and Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences)
Anyone who wishes to pursue an GHE opportunity that does not have an existing MOU agreement will need to obtain approval through the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs for an opportunity at that site.
To ensure a timely approval, and to allow sufficient time for planning and logistics, please submit your non-MOU request at least 4-6 months ahead of the proposed departure date for the GHEO trip.

Medical Spanish – Guatemala Rotation 2026
Medical Spanish Elective Survey Deadline: February 27, 2026
- Location: Antigua Guatemala, Hospital Hermano Pedro Universidad Francisco Marroquin Clinics
- Dates: May 25-29, 2026. Students should plan to depart May 24 or May 25 and return May 30 or May 31.
- Eligibility: Successful completion of Medical Spanish (PHYS 220), L1 Medical Student, registration is limited to 8 students
- Survey link: Medical Spanish Guatemala Elective – Fill out form
- Complete survey by February 27, 2026. The information is saved online, so there’s no need to send to anyone.
- Once surveys are collected, General IEE Application Form will be sent out to those approved to apply.
